As fanciers of lighthouses know, Harbour Lights Lighthouses are the quintessential in lighthouse collectibles. GLOW is the acronym for the company’s series, Great Lighthouses of the World. A portion of the profits directly benefits the preservation of the various actual lighthouses.
Harbour Lights stopped producing fifty-two lighthouses from their GLOW edition in January 2009. Some are lighted, as the Romanesque inspired Toledo Harbor Light, found at the Maumee River channel entrance, or the Stonington Harbor, CT lighthouse with its vast history.
Each lighthouse mold is only used a certain number of times before it is destroyed. Therefore, the number of pieces created are limited, and so each Harbour Lights Lighthouse Retired Limited Editions is lettered according to the manufacturing year, and also numbered sequentially.
